About Coach

Coach Yasmen draws on the deep knowledge and experience she gained as a senior coach for San Francisco CrossFit and CrossFit 7x7. Whether you're a beginner or highly advanced, she meets and challenges athletes exactly where they are. Working with everyone from professional athletes maintaining general conditioning to stay ready for training or competition, to an office worker who spends long days at a desk and is still a weekend warrior, or a woman looking to maintain bone density after menopause - Yasmen adapts her coaching to each individual’s needs.

Athletes learn systematically and progressively how to properly brace and breathe fully while squatting, lifting, pressing, pulling, jumping, landing - in addition to many other functional movements. They quickly see their bodies respond with exponential growth in power through improved positioning and gain a deeper understanding of how to overcome compensations. Yasmen's metabolic conditioning component challenges the heart rate and elevates overall fitness. Athletes can expect increased endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance, and accuracy. For those already involved in a sport, this level of general physical preparedness elevates performance and builds a strong, resilient foundation for all future training. Her approach also addresses injury - not only healing and strengthening, but identifying movement patterns that may have contributed to the issue and offering simple, effective methods to begin correcting them.

She is meticulous in the technical aspects of her teaching and can break down even the most complex concepts into simple, accessible explanations. Her philosophy centers on training smarter, not just harder. Moments when an athlete experiences a breakthrough - realizing that a small adjustment in body positioning can dramatically increase power - are what inspire her most.

Yasmen is always grateful to be part of each athlete’s journey as they discover their full potential through movement, consistent training, and applied wisdom. Teaching is what she loves to do and has a deep rooted passion in unlocking everyone's inner athlete.
